Below is a list of quality goods that I find I reflect on often, especially in awe of not just the quality of their craftsmanship, but also by them not being overly expensive/unattainable, oftentimes being among the cheaper options. There may be an inherent bias towards repairability that lend to their durability.

The List

  • Peavey Guitar Amps
  • Toyota Camry (3rd-5th gen 1992-2007 is GOATed)
  • Any 70's or 80's steel-framed bicycle (ideally Tange but Reynolds and others will do!)
  • Pentax 35mm SLR film cameras
  • Thinkpads
  • Kitchenaid Mixer
  • Matsumoku Factory Bass Guitars (~1978-1986), Aria, Vantage, etc, especially neck-through designs
  • Asics Running Shoes
  • Makarov Pistols
  • Landeron 48 Chronograph Movement
  • Popeyes Fried Chicken (bone-in only, no sandwiches or tenders!)
  • Uniqlo Jeans
  • Fedora Linux

The Yap

I can't say I've spent too much on really any of these things. I still have my first real work laptop (Lenovo T430) and use it often. My Panasonic DX-4000 is older than me and doesn't complain about the over-salted NYC roads as much as it should. Camry's are self explanatory. You'll notice everything on this list is almost the best in whatever category it does, but has the advantage of rarely breaking, or having any kind of quality issue.
